As noted, athletes participating in your field events are due by the 15th November. This will aid the field site officials on the day and allow for results to be published more effectively. However, we understand that last minute changes are unavoidable and there will be opportunities to notify ANSW of any team changes on the day.

VOLUNTEERING

Athletics NSW is committed to providing a quality competition for the diverse range of athletes and clubs that engage with the State Relay Competition.  However, to ensure that we can provide the appropriate standard and efficient delivery of the competition, we need the help of clubs to support our hardworking Technical Officials

To this end, each Club, depending upon the number of entries may have to supply one or more volunteers to assist our Technical Officials for the day.

The number of Club Volunteers a Club will need to provide will be based on the number of teams entered by that Club into the event.

If a Club enters:

  • a total of 9 or less teams, they do not have to provide a volunteer each day.
  • a total of 10-24 teams, they must provide one (1) volunteer each day.
  • a total of 25 or more teams, they must provide two (2) volunteer each day.

Note:

  • Clubs will only have to provide Volunteers on Saturday and Sunday
  • The Volunteer can rotate as often as you need as long as that position is constantly filled. However, it is easier if they could do the length of an event i.e., U12 Long Jump.
  • A nominated Volunteer can be a parent, coach or an athlete over the age of 14.
  • The Volunteer does not need any previous experience or a qualification.
  • The first volunteer each day must arrive one hour prior to the start of the first event and meet in the Madison De Rozario Room to sign in and be briefed. They will need to pass this information on to the other volunteers that day.
