Commonwealth Games Team: 28 NSW athletes will compete in Glasgow
The final members of the Australian Athletics team for the Glasgow Commonwealth Games team were announced in Melbourne today. NSW have supplied 28 athletes to the 86-member team, or 33% of the team.

In glorious winter conditions Ed Goddard won his fifth NSW open State Cross country title, while in the women’s Holly Campbell overcame a strong early challenge from Kate Spencer to win her fourth NSW State winter championship of her career.

NSW Cross Country Championships – Expect a thrilling women’s race, as Ed Goddard chases history
The iconic Gibb family property, at Willandra near Nowra, is set to host the 2026 NSW State Cross Country Championships on Saturday June 20. In the men’s race, the 128th edition, UTS Norths athlete Ed Goddard will be chasing a historic fifth title, while the women’s 71st edition features an exciting race between four well credentialled athletes. The day also includes the 53rd Little Athletics NSW XC Championships, as nearly 900 athletes compete across the day.
