Greater Nowra Fun Run

Local people of all ages and abilities will be able to run for fun and support the local athletics club by entering the inaugural Greater Building Society Nowra Fun Run to be held on Sunday May 31 starting from Nowra Showground.

Managing Director and CEO of Athletics NSW Greg Meagher said 
Shoalhaven City Council has joined Athletics NSW to host the event featuring an 8km run, the Greater 5km run and a 2km event for children as part of the growing Greater RunNSW series..

Shoalhaven Mayor, Councillor Joanna Gash said event provided the ideal opportunity for the entire family to test their fitness in this fun, new and exciting event. Enter today via

Greater RunNSW Series

The Greater Building Society RunNSW series has now expanded to include 10 events across NSW and Sydney.

Athletics NSW is working to increase participation in athletics across NSW through it's RunNSW series. Recreational runners of all ages and abilities have enjoyed the opportunity to participate in professional fun runs within their regions with all runs awarding children with a finisher's medal. Distances include 10km, 5km and children's 2km. Various races such as the Sydney:10 at Olympic Park and Fernleigh 15 in Newcastle have specific distances. 

These events are fun, affordable and provide the perfect opportunity for all runners to be involved. Visit for all the details

Athletics New South Wales has 88 affiliated Member Clubs throughout New South Wales, with each providing a range of services, competitions and importantly social opportunities to members in their communities.

The Club's all offer something for each type of new and upcoming, social or seasoned type athletes including Juniors and Masters training and events, as well as competitions and training for throwers, jumpers, sprinters, social and recreational runners and athletes with a disability.
