Coaching Clinics 2015

  Athletics NSW will be presenting the following upcoming coaching clinics:

  More courses are in planning stages, including IAAF Kids Athletics Upskilling courses.  Details will be released once they are confirmed.

CEO position now advertised

  Applications for Chief Executive Officer of Athletics NSW are now open.  The position description can be on Sportspeople.com by following this link.  Applications close Friday August 21, 2015.

2015 AGM

  The 2015 AGM will be held on Thursday August 27, 2015 in the Grand Prix Room at Sydney Olympic Park Athletic Centre, commencing at 7.30pm sharp.

Greater Fun Run Sydney Half

The 2015 Sydney Half is the perfect opportunity to get a fast marathon done before the cooler months finish. Whether it is your first attempt at a half or you are experienced at the distance we believe they Sydney Half will be an event that delivers. The three lap course is closed entirely to traffic and is spectator friendly making it possible for friends and family to follow the race closely.

The run features a flat, fast, accurate and inspirational course around the Sydney Olympic Park Precinct and is supported by 7km and 2km events. The race is 4 weeks before the Blackmores Sydney Marathon making it the ideal preparation race. Athletics NSW welcomes runners of all abilities to make the Sydney Half part of their winter running plans. See you on the 23rd of August.

Greater RunNSW Series

The Greater Building Society RunNSW series has now expanded to include 10 events across NSW and Sydney.

Athletics NSW is working to increase participation in athletics across NSW through it's RunNSW series. Recreational runners of all ages and abilities have enjoyed the opportunity to participate in professional fun runs within their regions with all runs awarding children with a finisher's medal. Distances include 10km, 5km and children's 2km. Various races such as the Sydney:10 at Olympic Park and Fernleigh 15 in Newcastle have specific distances.

Athletics New South Wales has 88 affiliated Member Clubs throughout New South Wales, with each providing a range of services, competitions and importantly social opportunities to members in their communities.

The Club's all offer something for each type of new and upcoming, social or seasoned type athletes including Juniors and Masters training and events, as well as competitions and training for throwers, jumpers, sprinters, social and recreational runners and athletes with a disability.
