Selection Criteria:

Preference is shown to applicants who have experience in the field, have participated as team managers in previous years or who are elite athletes themselves.

Once selected, managers are then contacted and asked to attend a manager meeting. You must be able to travel on Thursday 8^th December 2022, returning to Sydney on Sunday 11^th December 2022.

Whilst on tour, all staff are expected to behave in a manner appropriate for the position. These behaviours may include but are not limited to:

• act at the instruction of the Development Manager at all times
• actively supervise all students and be vigilant in observing student movements
• follow instructions of any Athletics Australia official
• adhere to guidelines of team management as set down by Athletics Australia
• treat all athletes with respect
• communicating verbally using appropriate language
• act as a mentor to an athlete or athlete group

Adherence to these guidelines will provide an enjoyable and professional experience for the athlete and reflects well on the association

All team managers are expected to supply the following documents if successful:

• Play By The Rules - Child Protection: Coaches and Officials online course http://www.playbytherules.net.au/online-learning
• Police check
• A current Working with Children check.
