Australian All Schools Day 2: Tammin Lampret and Oliver Face nudge National hurdles records

Lighter tails winds on day two of the Australian All Schools Championships in Perth today enabled the athletes to chase records. In the under-16 events, Sydney hurdlers Tammin Lampret and Oliver Facer, ran within a whisker of their National records, while in the distance events, two NSW distance women, Eliza Lawton and Ivy Boothroyd, shone with two meet records.

Australian All Schools Day 1: Beacroft produces a World Age best and Louison-Roe leaps to the best in the meet’s history

Triple jumper Izobelle Louison-Roe and race walker Isaac Beacroft have etched their names into history with record breaking performances on day one at the Australian All Schools Championships in windy Perth today. Beacroft, who has smashed many records this year, set not just a championship, NSW or Australian record, but a world best for an under-17 athlete. Australian All Schools Championships

A squad of 262 NSW athletes travel to Perth this week to defend their crown as the premier state at the Australian All Schools Championships. The most populated state has been the dominate force at the meet for many decades, able to hold off Queensland and Victoria their main threats. However, in the last decade twice Queensland have finished within 10 points of NSW.

Pacific Games: NSW jumpers add more gold on day 5

On the final day of the track program, training partners in the Andrew Murphy squad, Sam Dale and Connor Murphy have won Pacific Games titles, boosting the NSW medal tally to five gold and two silver at the Games.

NSW 10km Walk: Isaac Beacroft smashes Australian record

On a gloomy night at Homebush, the athletes really shone, led by 16-year-old Isaac Beacroft setting an Australian Under-18 10,000m walk record, his third in less than a year, and astonishingly on debut at the distance. In the women’s, sisters Allanah and Sienna Pitcher, claimed the open and under-20 10000m walk titles.

NSW 3000m Champs: Holly Campbell defends, while Josh Phillips adds 3k to his 10k win

Following intermittent rain during the afternoon, the weather cleared for the NSW 3000m championship races at ES Marks Field last evening. Lining up in the 41st edition of the women’s race, Holly Campbell defended her title and claimed the fourth win in six years for the Campbell family, following twin sister Paige’s victories in 2018 and 2019. Josh Phillips won the 20th men’s title, first held in 2004, to add to his recent 10,000m win.
