A record 2400 athletes lined up across the four events at the 17th Sydney 10 held in light rain this morning around Sydney Olympic Park. In the women’s 10km event Holly Campbell recorded the 4th fastest time in the races history, while in the men’s Victorian Aiden Velten led home a quality field with Run Crew’s Ciaran Rushton claiming the State title. The NSW athletics community is in mourning over the loss of a most valued member Nicky Jenneke, aged just 55. The Cherrybrook club administrator sadly passed away this week.

Australian Little Athletics Championships: NSW claim 37th title

In Adelaide this ANZAC weekend NSW won their 37th Australian Little Athletics Championship. First held in 1971, the 2025 Under-13 championship went down to the last two events with NSW holding off Queensland 778 to 753 points, while Victoria finished third on 706 points. NSW claimed the prestigious Trevor Billingham Trophy, named after the founder of Little Athletics in Australia.
