TCS Mini Marathon 5km
Ahead of the TCS Sydney Marathon on Sunday, 18 NSW athletes will compete in the TCS Mini Marathon 5km this Saturday morning. The athletes form part of the inaugural NSW Athletics squad.
A number of the athletes will be competing in vastly contrasting conditions this week, from the muddy cross country course last weekend at the National XC in Ballarat, to the fast roads this Saturday in the 5km road race.
Four athletes have prepared with top-10s in Ballarat including Matthew Shaw (U20), Keedon Harrison (U18), Taylor Traecey & Xavier Arnold (U18s).
This inaugural initiative, delivered by NSW Athletics in partnership with the We Run Foundation, is held as part of the TCS Sydney Marathon presented by ASICS; one of Australia's premier running events and one of the world's newest Abbott World Marathon Majors.
The TCS Mini Marathon on Saturday starts at 7.15am at the Parade Grounds in the Royal Botanic Gardens and finishes at the Sydney Opera House.
