2024 Australian Championships: NSW team - things to watch

Next Thursday the four-day Australian Athletics Championships will be held in Adelaide. They also double as the Olympic trials, and in this modern era are a very high scoring points competition towards qualification for the Paris Olympics.

Albie Thomas Mile REVIEW

Victorian middle-distance star Abbey Caldwell and WA’s Jesse Hunt were crowned Australian Mile champions at the eighth edition of the Albie Thomas Mile hosted by Bankstown Athletics Club in Sydney last night. Jessica Hull (800m), Luke Boyes (800m), Sarah Carli (400m hurdles) and Tom Hunt (400m hurdles) were other key winners at the meet.

Sydney Track Classic REVIEW: Four national records as Jessica Hull defends

Four Australian records highlighted the 2024 Sydney Track Classic in front of an enthusiastic crowd of 2700 spectators. Jessica Hell led 13 women to personal bests in the 3000m. There were spills and thrills in the men’s 3000m, while the photo was called to split Michelle Jenneke and Liz Clay in the hurdles.

World Indoors: High Jump Gold for Nicola Olyslagers
