NSW Athletics Announces 2025 Officials Advisory Committee and Subcommittee Appointments
NSW Athletics is pleased to announce the appointed members of the 2025 Joint Officials Advisory Committee and its three key subcommittees. These appointments recognise the dedication, expertise and leadership of technical officials who play a vital role in the continued growth and success of athletics across the state.
The Officials Advisory Committee and its subcommittees are instrumental in driving strategic initiatives that support, educate and retain officials. Their work ensures consistent officiating standards and helps foster a positive and inclusive environment for all involved in our sport.
2025 Joint Officials Advisory Committee
Charged with providing leadership and guidance across officiating in NSW, the 2025 Joint Officials Advisory Committee comprises:
Angela Stephens-Kinch, Colin Muir, Daniel Bliss, Dennis Coker, Jackie Gilroy and Lee Brigandi.
These experienced officials bring a wealth of knowledge to the table and will guide key policy decisions and officiating practices across all levels of the sport.
Education Subcommittee
Focused on developing and delivering training opportunities and resources, the Education subcommittee supports the ongoing professional development of the NSW officials. The 2025 members are:
Barry Pecar, Cheryl Burnett, David Morrow, Ellen Coker, Kim Owens and Neil Hinton
Appointments Subcommittee
Ensuring transparency, consistency and fairness in the official appointment process across NSW Athletics events, the Appointments Subcommittee will consist of:
Barry Pecar, Elizabeth Jones, Katrina Morrow and Murray Gaudin
Recruitment, Retention and Welfare Subcommittee
This subcommittee will champion initiatives to recruit new officials, retain existing ones, and continue building a positive officiating culture. The appointed members for 2025 are:
Jackie Gilroy, John Morris, Joshua Henry and Josephine Ng
