ENTRY INFORMATION
In its first three rounds the Treloar Shield, has recorded an increase in over 18% in athlete attendance and 37% on events entries from last season. While the Partnership has significantly increased the overall numbers in the Little Athletics and Junior age groups, it is important to note and celebrate that the Masters age groups have increased by 25% on athletes numbers, and 40% on entries from the past year, a sign of the health of the sport and the success of the Treloar Shield concept.
As a result of the unprecedented surge in numbers, we are taking the following proactive steps to ensure we maximise experience across the Treloar Shield, so everyone can enjoy this competition. These include:
- Rounds 4, 5 and 6 timetables have been re written to better accommodate these participation numbers and to provide a better gauge from the outset on the time athletes will be competing.
- To ensure we continue to maximise the experience for everyone, we are making a subtle change to the entry rules. Athletes will now be able to enter a maximum of 4 individual events (plus a relay)
- Within an age group, we will change the field attempt rules. All athletes will be provided with three attempts, and the top eight (8) will receive an additional attempt.
We appreciate your understanding and look forward to seeing you all at Treloar Shield - Round 4.
Entries will close 11:59pm Wednesday before the competition.
