Support your club. Support your athletes. Be part of the action!
The State Relay Championships are a fantastic opportunity for athletes to represent their clubs, compete alongside their teammates and create lasting memories. To help deliver a successful event for everyone, we need the support of our clubs and their members!
CLUB VOLUNTEER REQUIREMENT
All participating clubs are required to provide volunteers based on the number of teams they submit. For every four teams entered, clubs must provide one volunteer.
Volunteers play an important role in ensuring the championships run smoothly and that all athletes enjoy a positive competition experience.
VOLUNTEER SHIFT
-
Shift duration: Approximately 2.5 hours.
-
One volunteer per shift: Each shift must be completed by one individual and cannot be shared between multiple volunteers.
-
No previous experience required: Volunteers will be supported and provided with guidance to help them carry out their allocated roles.
Whether you're a parent, coach, club member or supporter, your contribution will make a real difference!
ROLES ON OFFER
Field Volunteer: Assist technical officials with the delivery of field events, including retrieving equipment, raking long jump and triple jump pits, replacing high jump bars and helping maintain a safe competition environment. No previous experience is required, as training and guidance will be provided on the day.
Track Volunteer: Assist technical officials with the delivery of track events, including sprints, middle-distance races, hurdles and relays. Responsibilities may include setting up and removing hurdles, assisting with athlete marshalling and helping ensure events run safely and efficiently. Admin Volunteer: Assist with the smooth running of the competition by supporting event administration, athlete check-in and post-event activities. Responsibilities may include assisting with paperwork, checking in athletes before their events, organising athletes into their heats or groups, directing athletes to the correct competition areas and helping manage athlete flow after events. Volunteers may also assist with general administrative tasks and provide information to athletes and officials as needed. No previous experience is required, as guidance will be provided on the day.
GET INVOLVED!
We encourage all clubs to organise their volunteers early and work together to meet their requirements. By volunteering, you are helping create a fantastic championship experience for athletes, officials and spectators alike.
