NSW Athletics would like to thank the Dubbo Regional Council for their support of the 2026 NSW Country Championships.

 
EVENT INFORMATION

Date: 16th - 18th January 2026

Location: Barden Park, Dubbo

Cost: $30 first event, $15 Subsequent events (maximum spend $80)

Eligible Age Groups: 9s - Masters

Permit status:  This meet is ratified by World Athletics and AustraliaAthletics in the Open andU20's. All other events will be a State Permit.

Please note: Only athletes who are members of a Country Club (Regions 1–4) are eligible to enter the Country Championships. Athletes registered with a metropolitan Sydney club are not eligible, and any ineligible entries will be removed if submitted in error.

Please refer to the eligibility requirements in the Rules for further guidance.

 
TIMETABLE

Final Timetable

Timetable Note 1- updated 28 November- a non-championship 200m Hurdles has been added  as an opportunity for athletes to qualify for National Championships. This is a non medal event.

Timetable Note 2- We are aware that the 15s Girls Shot Put is missing from the Draft Timetable. It is scheduled to take place at 0800 on Friday 16th January.

Please note that NSW Athletics reserves the right to change the timetable & event distances to ensure the safety of athletes/officials, and the overall efficiency of running the event.

EVENT PERMIT

This meet is ratified by World Athletics and Australian Athletics . Athletes competing in the Open and Under 20 age groups can qualify for international and national competition, accumulate World Athletics ranking points, break Athletics NSW and Australian Athletics  records, and have their performances added to World Athletics top lists.

World Athletics Rankings

All other events will be ratified as a state permit, allowing athletes to qualify for the Australian Athletics Championships
