EVENT INFORMATION

Date: 14th February 2026

Location: Sydney Olympic Park Athletics Centre (Warm Up)

Cost: $35 per Championship event, $20 per Supporting event

Eligible Age Groups: OPEN (participation opportunities for 10s and above)

Permit status:  This meet is ratified by World Athletics and Australian Athletics for all allcomers events and the A races only for the state 5000m. B and subsequent races will be ratified as a state permit, allowing athletes to qualify for the Australian Athletics Championships. 

Special event information: A number of events are taking place within the Sydney Olympic Park Precinct on this day, including  Ed Sheeran concert at Accor Stadium. The Precinct will be busy with limited parking options.  Participants and spectators are strongly encouraged to plan their travel in advance and consider pre-booking parking at one of SOPA’s parking stations.

Registrations will open at 9:00am on 17 January 2026 and close at 12:00pm on 10 February 2026. Late entries will be accepted until 11:59pm on 10 February 2026 and will incur a $10 late fee.

EVENT PERMIT

This meet is ratified by World Athletics and Australian Athletics for all allcomers events and the A races for the state 5000m. Athletes can qualify for international and national competition, accumulate World Athletics ranking points, break Athletics NSW and Australian Athletics records, and have their performances added to World Athletics top lists.. 

World Athletics Rankings

All B races and lower of the 5000m will be ratified as a state permit, allowing athletes to qualify for the Australian Athletics Championships.
