EVENT INFORMATION
Date: 1st November 2025
Location: E.S. Marks
Cost: $35 per Championship event, $20 per Supporting events (Any athlete who enters the 3000m will be charged the state championship entry fee. If the athlete also wants to enter the field events there would be no further charge. Athletes only entering the Shot Put/HJ will be charged $20)
Eligible Age Groups: OPEN (participation opportunities 12s and above)
Permit status: This meet is ratified by World Athletics and Australian Athletics, in the A and B races for the 3000m only, plus the shot put and High Jump
ENTRY INFORMATION
Registrations will open at 9:00am on 13th October 2025 and close at 12:00pm on 28 October 2025. Late entries will be accepted until 11:59pm on 28 October 2025 and will incur a $10 late fee.
Please be aware that athletes entering the 3000m championship races will be eligible to score points in the Treloar Shield. All results will be combined, and Athletes will automatically be assigned a position in their Treloar Shield age group with the relevant number of points. Athletes competing in community races will not be eligible for Treloar Shield points.

VENUE INFORMATION
We're thrilled to welcome you back to E.S. Marks Athletics Field for the 2025 NSW 3000m Championships! To ensure a smooth experience, please review travel and venue access information before your visit.
- Public Transport
There is limited on site parking at E.S. Marks, so we strongly encourage using public transport to access the venue. Buses and Light Rail services run regularly from Central Station and provide the most convenient way to reach the field. For trip planning, please use the NSW Government Trip Planner here.
- Parking Options
On-Street Parking
While there is no on-site parking, limited street parking is available near E.S. Marks Athletics Field. Please note that these spaces can require a long walk to the entrance, so we recommend carpooling and arriving early if you plan to drive.
Nearby Car Parks
Free parking is available on campus at the University of NSW. The light rail will run from UNSW Anzac Parade and UNSW High Street stops. There are three main parking areas on campus:
- NIDA Parking off Anzac Parade. Entry off Day Avenue. Catch the light rail from UNSW Anzac Parade.
- Barker Street Parking. Enter via Gate 14 off Barker Street. Catch the light rail from UNSW Anzac Parade.
- Botany Street Parking. Enter via Gate 11 off Botany Street. Catch the light rail from UNSW High Street.
- There is some parking on campus off High Street, although we would recommend the above three parking zones
Accessible Parking
Limited Accessible Parking is available for individuals with a NSW Government-issued accessible parking permit. Access is available from Dacey Ave (near the Child Care Centre).
- Venue Access
The main entry to the venue is via stairs at the front entrance on Anzac Parade.

EVENT PERMIT

This meet is ratified by World Athletics and Athletics Australia, in the A and B races for the 3000m only Athletes competing in the A & B race can qualify for international competition, accumulate World Athletics ranking points, break Athletics NSW and Australian Athletics records, and have their performances added to World Athletics top lists.

All other races in this meet will be ratified as a state permit, allowing athletes to qualify for the Australian Athletics Championships.
