NSW Combined Events: Piper Todd’s third consecutive as Alec Diamond wins number four

Commonwealth Games representative Alec Diamond claimed his fourth senior men’s NSW Decathlon title in Canberra on the weekend with a solid score of 7458 points, while Bankstown’s Piper Todd won the under-16 heptathlon her third win in as many years.

Booked for Bathurst: Rose Davies and Leanne Pompeani

On Sunday morning the best line-up of Australian distance running battled the challenging Stromlo hills for places in the Australian team for the 44th World Athletics Cross Country Championships set down for Bathurst next month. NSW pair, Rose Davies and Leanne Pompeani were the only two to confirm their positions with automatic selections, while another seven NSW athletes are in the box seat to be named later this week, making the home State representation nine.

Treloar Shield Final: UTS Norths claim four of the five titles

UTS Norths claimed their seventh Treloar Shield title as they dominated the finals, winning four of the five age divisions. The Treloar Shield, first held during the 2013/14 season, and not held during the last two seasons due to COVID, only Wests in 2016/17 have lowered their colours.

Australian Mile Championship Review
