NSW XC Relays: Bankstown men claim second title

At the 32nd edition of the NSW cross country relays, held at Upjohn Park at Rydalmere on Saturday, Bankstown won just their second men’s title, following their 2019 victory. Although there was a late rally by some clubs, in the end Bankstown coasted to victory with their athletes clocking three of the top-6 fastest individual leg times.

NSW XC Relays: Three-peat for Run Crew women

Run Crew women have over the last few years dominated the NSW XC Relay championship with wins at the North Ryde Common, during a COVID effected year in 2021, and last year at today’s venue - Upjohn Park at Rydalmere. But they were not confident of a third consecutive win with UTS Norths boosting a strong line-up including Olympian Georgia Winkcup.

World Para Athletics Championships: Seven NSW athletes selected

After a long four year wait, the World Para Athletics Championships are back after a COVID-forced break. Today seven NSW athletes were selected in the 39-member National team for the 2023 edition of the championships to be held in Paris in July 8-17.

Australian Team selections: 32 NSW to wear the green and gold

Following on from yesterday’s announcement of 11 NSW athletes in the Global Games, a further 32 NSW athletes have been named in recent weeks in Australian teams. These emerging athletes will form the nucleus of future Australian global teams at the world championships, Olympics and Paralympics.

NSW Short Walk Champs: Allanah Pitcher’s balanced victory

Australian 35km walk National record holder Allanah Pitcher and training partner Jack McGinniskin, are the NSW 20km walk champions for 2023. Testing a new venue, the Armory at Sydney Olympic Park, Allanah coasted to a win in 99:57, while Jack continued his solid progression in the last few years with a PB time of 95:43.
