Affiliating Your Club (New Applications)

Affiliating with NSW Athletics gives your club access to a trusted support system that enhances safety, governance, and growth. Through affiliation, clubs receive insurance coverage, competition access, development pathways, and resources for coaches, officials, and athletes. It also connects your club to a recognised statewide network, helping you build credibility, strengthen community ties, and create more opportunities for your members.

You will need to decide which club affiliation category best suits your club before submitting an expression of interest.

When you are ready to submit your expression of interest you will need to have the following:

Expression of Interest to Affiliate

Once NSW Athletics has received the expression of interest to affiliate the following will happen:

  • The application is reviewed
  • Clubs who are already affiliated to NSW Athletics are contacted for their feedback (any club that is within a 5-10k radius of your club)
  • The application is then sent to the NSW Executive Group and then to the relevant board (Little Athletics NSW and Athletics NSW).
  • Once a decision has been made, the club will be contacted with the outcome and any next steps.

Please note that this process can take 4 to 8 weeks.
