Treloar Shield Round 3 Wrap

Sydney University Athletics Club leads the Open division after Round 3 of the 2026 Treloar Shield, while Manly Warringah Athletics tops both the 10s-12s and 15s-17s, Ryde Athletics Centre leads the 13s-14s, Hornsby District Athletics Club leads the 35-49s, UTS Northern Suburbs Athletics Club leads the 50+, and Hills District Senior Athletics leads the Para division.

Our host clubs starred in Round 3. Camden Athletics Club won the 10s-12s division for the round and Bankstown Sports Athletics Club took out the Open division. Neither club typically tops these divisions, so it was a great chance to celebrate their performances. Thank you to both clubs for co-hosting a Treloar Shield round.

The race for a place in the Treloar Final is heating up. There is plenty of movement in the 10s-12s, 15s-17s and 35-49 divisions, with clubs regularly moving in and out of the top five. With the final qualifying spots still up for grabs, it’s anyone’s guess who will make the cut.

The Treloar Shield is all about the club. Every athlete who competes scores points for their club, no matter their performance, so everyone can help their club qualify for the Final in December.

After each round, the club with the most points in an age group earns 1 premiership point, the next club 2, and so on. Like golf, the lowest total leads. After six rounds, the top eight clubs in the Open division and the top five in every other division will be invited to the Final.

Volunteers earn bonus points

For every eligible volunteer who completes a three-hour shift, their club earns five bonus points for every age group it competes in during that round. Up to four volunteers per club can earn bonus points each round. Volunteer registrations must be completed by 9am Friday to be eligible.
