Treloar Shield Round 1 Wrap
Published Tue 13 Oct 2026
UTS Northern Suburbs Athletics Club has made the early running in the 2026 Treloar Shield, topping both the Open and 50+ divisions after Round 1 on Saturday 10 October. Manly Warringah Athletics won the 10s-12s and 15s-17s, Ryde Athletics Centre led the 13s-14s, Hornsby District Athletics Club topped the 35-49s, and North Rocks Carlingford Little Athletics won a close Para division by just two points.
The Treloar Shield is all about the club. Every athlete who competes scores points for their club, no matter their performance, so everyone can help their club qualify for the Final in December.
After each round, the club with the most points in an age group earns 1 premiership point, the next club 2, and so on. Like golf, the lowest total leads. After six rounds, the top eight clubs in the Open division and the top five in every other division will be invited to the Final.
Here is how the leading clubs stand after Round 1.
