NSW Athletics Announces Inaugural Coaches and Officials Conference

Published Thu 13 Mar 2025

NSW Athletics are pleased to announce the Inaugural Coaches and Officials Conference to be held at The Novotel in Sydney Olympic Park on 1-2 October.

NSW Athletics believes that the sport thrives on the dedication of coaches, age managers and officials, the individuals who guide, mentor and inspire athletes of all ages and abilities.

The Coach and Officials conference has been purposefully designed for aspiring and experienced coaches, age managers and technical officials (aged 16 and above) who work with athletes across all age groups. It is intended that the initiative will enhance the skills, knowledge and networks of those who play a crucial role in shaping the future of athletics.

The conference is more than just a professional development opportunity; it is an investment in the people who make our sport possible.

Made possible by the NSW Athletics Partnership, which began in 2024 with the goal of fostering and strengthening our sport at every level.

One of Australia’s premier coaches, Dean Boxall, will headline the conference. Boxall known as the mastermind behind Ariarne Titmus’ historic triumphs and Mollie O’Callaghan’s meteoric rise in world swimming, has developed a unique coaching philosophy that blends technical experience with mental fortitude.
