Private Combined Youth + Development Coach Course - Face to Face

Become a national recognised accredited coach by enrolling in this combined course delivering the practical face-to-face components of both the Youth Coach and Development Coach accreditations simultaneously.

The course provides participants with the tools and knowledge to work with athletes from the fundamental movement stage through to developing athletes participating in club and school-level athletics competitions.

Accreditation Options
If you are attending the combined practical course, you can choose to obtain accreditation in either course separately or both concurrently.
To obtain either accreditation you must attend the 2 day face-to-face component, complete the relevant online modules and submit the required assessments.
Participants who choose to complete only one accreditation initially may defer the second accreditation by completing its online modules and assessment requirements at a later date. In this case, participants will not be required to attend the face-to-face practical components again.

Participants are recommended to complete the relevant online modules before attending the face-to-face practical session, which you will have access to upon registration.

Course overviews
The Youth Coach component focuses on athletes aged 3–12 years and introduces participants to the use of games-based activities to develop fundamental movement skills such as running, jumping and throwing, while fostering physical literacy in a positive and engaging environment.

The Development Coach component is designed for individuals working with athletes aged 12 years and above and introduces the basic technical models of track and field events, training principles, components of fitness, and the planning and evaluation of training sessions for intermediate-level athletes.
