Expressions of interest are hereby called for person(s) who may be interested in undertaking the role(s) of Age Group Manager at the NSW State Combined Carnival.

Age Group Manager Responsibilities

Age Group Managers are responsible for the supervision and support of athletes within their allocated age group and gender throughout the carnival. Their duties include:

• Ensuring athletes have the correct registration number, age patch, and sponsor patch prior to their first event.

  • If any items are missing, the athlete must obtain them from their Team Manager or the Information Desk.

• Distributing wristbands to all athletes in their age group before their first event.

• Accompanying athletes from the call room (marshalling) to their field events.

• Supervising athletes while they are waiting at field events.

• Creating and maintaining a positive, supportive, and inclusive environment for all athletes.

• Monitoring athlete behaviour and assisting in maintaining an acceptable standard of conduct at all times.

• Remaining vigilant for any incidents of bullying, teasing, or inappropriate behaviour.

• Addressing unacceptable behaviour where appropriate and reporting concerns to the Chief Judge when required.

• Escorting groups of athletes to and from the toilets, as needed.

• Wearing enclosed shoes at all times.

Over the two days of the carnival, Age Group Managers will accompany their appointed age group/gender to each of their field events.
Age Group Managers are not responsible for recording results, as this is the responsibility of the event officials.

For larger age groups, athletes may be divided into colour groups if required.
