The 2022 Sydney Running Festival is thrilled to be hosting the 2022 Australian Marathon Championships on Sunday 18th September 2022. Please find below the entry information and timelines:

Eligibility

This Nomination Portal is stricly for NSW Athletes who want to be selected for the NSW Marathon State Team to compete at the Australian Marathon Championships. Each State and Territory Member Association can select up to six male and six female representatives with the top three finishers in each team scoring points towards their state team result. This Nomination Portal is stricly for NSW Athletes who want to be selected for the NSW MarathonState Team
Successful athletes will compete in NSW State Uniform.
A prerequiste to enter is ensuring you have satisfied the qualification times.

Athlete Assistance
The Sydney Running Fesitval Marathon organisers will provide all athletes selected in their State or Territory team with the following:

• Free race entry (we will provide a entry code for anyone who hasn’t entered once we are advised of the team selections or refund anyone who has already entered)
• Seeded (elite) race number (to allow all state team runners to start in the first group at the front of the field)
• TBC Access to the elite athlete area pre- and post-race on Sunday 18th September.
• TBC Opportunity to have personal refreshments placed on course at any/each of the refreshment stations (eight in total approx. every 5km)
