Protecting the Integrity of Our Sport
Everyone involved in athletics, athletes, parents, coaches, support personnel, administrators, and supporters, play a vital role in safeguarding the integrity of our sport.
If you have any questions or concerns related to integrity matters, including issues around conduct, fairness, or child safety, please follow the process outlined below:
Step 1: Contact Your Club or Centre
In the first instance, please raise your concern with your Club or Centre’s Member Protection Information Officer (MPIO). They are trained to provide advice and support in handling member protection and integrity-related matters.
Step 2: Escalate to NSW Athletics (if required)
If you do not receive a satisfactory response, or if the matter requires further escalation, you are encouraged to contact the NSW Athletics Development Officer (NSW Athletics MPIO) [link to contacts page] by submitting your concern through this secure online form:

All complaints will be assessed and managed appropriately, either by NSW Athletics, or where relevant, referred to Australian Athletics, Sport Integrity Australia (SIA), or another external agency.

Knowledge of, or concerns regarding integrity-related matters can be reported to:
- Club - Please contact your Club MPIO, details should be found on your Club website.
- NSW Athletics - In addition to the form above, if you would like to discuss an issue or seek some advice, contact the NSW Athletics Development Officer in your region and/or submit a complaint via the form below.
- Athletics Australia - To discuss an issue or seek some advice, contact the General Manager of Integrity, Briar Sefo at integrity@athletics.org.au or submit a enquiry via the form above. Our complaints process is outlined in the Complaints, Disputes & Discipline Policy.
- Sport Integrity Australia - Anything that may constitute prohibited conduct under (a) the Child Safeguarding Policy, (b) discrimination, based on a protected characteristic matters under the Member Protection Policy, or (c) doping. A complaint can be submitted by the following methods:
- Filling in a complaint or report form on the Sport Integrity Australia website
- Emailing contactus@sportintegrity.gov.au
- Phoning 13 000 27232
- Completing the ‘report an issue’ form in the Sport Integrity App. This can be anonymous if you choose.
- eSafety Commissioner - abusive or inappropriate online content online can be reported to the eSafety Commisioner for action. eSafety can investigate cyberbullying of children, adult cyber abuse, image abuse (sharing or threatening to share intimate images without consent) and illegal content. - Paralympics Australia (Intentional Misrepresentation) Paralympics Australia is the body that manages national level IM. IM is a serious offence that undermines the integrity of classification and Para-Sport. You can report via any of Paralympic Australia’s three channels:
