benefits of club affiliation

 

 

As a NSW Athletics affiliated club, you’ll be able to access a range of benefits and services to help manage, develop and engage your club and its members. These include access to support services, competition licensing, free resources and club programmes. The table above details the benefits according to the affiliation category. 

The sections below provide information on affiliation for both exisitng member clubs and those looking to affiliate to NSW Athletics for the first time. 

We are a new Club that would like to affiliate

To submit a request to affiliate to NSW Athletics you will be required to submit several pieces of information and documents. The checklist below is a guide to help you have all the documents you need ready for the initial submission. Ensure that you have selected the correct club affiliation category based on the table above.

Request to Affiliate

Once you have submitted your clubs request to affiliate to NSW Athletics the following will happen:

  • The application will be assesed, and if there are any exisitng clubs within a 10k radius of where your club is based, will be contacted for feedback. 
  • The assessed application will then go to NSW Executive Group for deliberation. 
  • This process can take anywhere from 4 to 12 weeks. 
  • Once the Executive Group have made their decision, you will be notified of the outcome in writing.

 If your affiliation submission is accepted, and you have received written confirmation of this the following steps will happen:

  • We will request your club's constitution. If you do not have a constitution please use the template available here
  • Club's ABN, this is required set up up the club's PinPayments account within the RevolutioniseSport membership platform. You can register your club for an ABN here
  • Bank account details (BSB and Account Number)
  • Bank statement, this should clear show the name of the bank, address and bank account number. Please note screenshots of online banking are not accepted. 
  • The most recent committee meeting minutes
  • Organise a training session with your committee members, to show you how to navigate RevolutioniseSport and set up your website.

Once we have received these we are then able to set up your membership platform through RevolutioniseSport and if applicable the ability to take Active Kids Vouchers. 

Existing affiliated Club's

If you are looking to reaffiliate for the new season please use the form below. 

You must have ready the following information:

  • AGM Minutes
  • Annual Report
  • Audited Club Finances
  • Committee Member Details
  • Welfare or Membership Information Protection Officer's contact details
  • Signed Terms and Conditions of Affiliation
  • Changes to uniform
  • Consitution if it has changed

If your club is looking to go from a Little Athletics affiliaiton to a One Athletics or a Senior Club to a One Athletics, then please complete the form below.

You will need to provide a letter stating why your club is seeking to change its affiliation category. 

The letter should address the following points:

  • What is the club's philosophy, and how will changing affiliation category better the club and sport.
  • Have you made a meaningful attempt to work with other clubs local to you?
  • Are there any implications such strain on volunteer resources, facilities or funding?
  • Will the club provide training, and have access to accredited coaches?
  • Will the club provide competitions, summer and/or Winter?
  • Will the club have accredited officials?
  • Will the club have the capacity to participate in the NSW Athletics Community. Provide evidence on how your club will contribute such as events, coaching, officials, volunteering.

Expression to Change Affiliation Category

 

Once your request to change affiliation category has been received, it will asssesed and a decison will be made by the Executive Committee. This process can take any where between 4 to 12 weeks. Once a decision has been made the club will be notified in writing of the outcome of the request. 

It is important to note that a club can't change it's affilation status part way through a season.
