NSW Athletics Strengthens Sport Delivery

NSW Athletics is pleased to announce a series of appointments that will strengthen the organisation’s Sport Delivery function and support the continued delivery of high-quality competition across the state.

Dylan Potter has been appointed as General Manager – Sport Delivery and will commence in the role on 4 May 2026.

Dylan brings extensive experience across AFL, Football Australia and major international events, most recently serving as General Manager, Competition for the AFC Women’s Asian Cup 2026 Local Organising Committee. Across his career, he has led the delivery of competition environments spanning participation, pathway and elite levels, with a strong focus on governance, operational excellence and athlete experience.

In addition to Dylan’s appointment, NSW Athletics welcomes:

  • Olivia Southby, Sport Coordinator – Operations
  • Daniel Bliss, Sport Coordinator – Technical

These roles will support the planning and delivery of competitions across NSW, contributing to consistent, high-quality outcomes for athletes, officials and clubs.

Dylan brings significant experience leading complex competition environments, and alongside Olivia and Daniel, will play a key role in ensuring we continue to deliver strong outcomes for our community across all levels of the sport from grassroots Little Athletics events through to permit meets and state championships.”

These appointments reinforce NSW Athletics’ commitment to delivering professional, athlete-focused and sustainable competition environments across metropolitan and regional NSW.

Further initiatives to strengthen sport delivery and club support will be rolled out ahead of the 2026/27 season
