Further to the recent NSW Athletics Partnership announcement delivering the first entirely unified and single Athletics offering in NSW in 56 years, Athletics NSW (ANSW) and Little Athletics NSW (LANSW) have since committed to the establishment of a joint Workforce Manager role.

We are pleased to announce that Daniel Warren has been appointed to the role of Workforce Manager.

Sitting within the ANSW Sport Delivery Team (0.8) and the LANSW Sport and Events Team (0.2) Daniel will lead the development and delivery of the sports Workforce Strategy to ensure that our Technical Officials and volunteers across all stages and facets of the sport are appropriately resourced to deliver a range of events offered throughout the year.

As a current Technical Official, Daniel is a member of the National Photo Finish Judges Panel and is regularly appointed to State, National and Oceania Championships. His unique perspective makes him an ideal choice to continue the development of our workforce within the new and exciting NSW Athletics competition framework to be released for Summer 2024/25.

Daniels first day in the role will be Monday 13 May.

ANSW would like to acknowledge Mary Macaluso’s efforts while in the position. Over the past two years, Mary’s hard work and expertise has seen multiple advancements in the workforce space and will remain involved in aspects of workforce development around education and pathways as her knowledge and experience will be invaluable in the smooth and seamless transition to Daniel.
