FAQ for the Sydney Track Classic 

Event Information

The Sydney Track Classic promises to be an exciting showcase of athleticism, from people of all ages and abilities, along with top-tier athletes from Australia and around the world converging in the heart of the Eastern Suburbs to compete in various track and field disciplines.

As the highest-level meet to grace the Eastern Suburbs in three decades, the 2024 Chemist Warehouse Sydney Track Classic is expected to draw a significant crowd. We recommend you secure your tickets in advance to ensure you don't miss out on the excitement.

The 2024 Sydney Track Classic will take place at  E.S. Marks Athletics Field , Boronia St, Kensington NSW 2033

The Sydney Track Classic is on on Saturday 23rd March 2024

The Main Events Program:

  • 100m (M & F)

 

  • 110m Hurdles (M)
  • 100m – Ambulant (M & F)

 

  • 100m Hurdles (F)
  • 400m (M &F)

 

  • Shot Put (M & F)
  • 800m (M & F)

 

  • High Jump (M & F)
  • 3000m (M & F) – Australian Championships

 

  • Long Jump (M & F)

Please note: the events are subject to change; and the order of events has not yet been confirmed.

Athletes will start to be announced in February 2024.

While the event is primarily a showcase of the country’s best athletes, Athletics NSW will ensure that the event incorporates opportunities for the whole of our sport. Watch this space for events that cater for;

  • Para athletes
  • School Based athletes
  • Youth athletes (6-10)
  • Masters athletes

Yes, there will be the Sydney Fastest Kid again in 2024. Sydney fastest kid is an opportunity for athletes, aged 6-10 to participate over 100m on the same track as their heros. The kids will also get the opportunity to participate in other athletics-based activities during the evening before having the chance to watch the exciting action.

This information will be released in mid-December 2023.

Spectator Information

Athletics NSW has worked closely with local councils and Transport for NSW to ensure accessing the venue is as easy as possible. While ANSW has arranged several parking options, we encourage all attendees to consider their public transport options. Travel on Train, metro and light rail is included in your Sydney Track Classic ticket

Yes. To help us facilitate your enjoyment of the venue and event, athletics NSW is collecting accessible requirements throughout the ticketing process. The venue will have limited accessible parking as well as seating options. Please contact Athletics NSW to discuss accessibility - HERE
