For Athletes...

Please contact your club administrator if you wish to be apart of a team or have a team you would like to enter. 

The NSW Relay Championships are being conducted at Sydney Olympic Park Athletic Centre. 

Athletes will enter the venue for free. They will have to show their club singlet at the gate to enter.

Spectators can purchase tickets for the event here.

Athletes must find their team manager/club administrator to collect their bib

 

Track athletes must be at the start area 10 minutes before the scheduled start time. 

Field athletes must report to their field site at least 20 minutes before the scheduled start time. 

 

Please ensure you know which event and team you are competing in before the day. 

 

 

Yes. 

If you would like to use your own implement, you will have to check it in at least 90 minutes before your scheduled start time. 

The implement check in will be located in the Technical Shed near the 100m Start line. 

The warm up track will be available during the competition. 

Your team manager will collect the medals from club check in. You will then receive your medal from them. 

A medal dias will be set up in the forecourt for photo opportunities. 

For Club Administrators...

Please enter the number of teams that you will be competing for your club on the day.

If your club needs the invoice to be changed into the club’s name, you will have to fill out the questions on the registration page which state:

  • Invoicing details (if the club needs to pay)

  • Addressee for invoice (name of club)

  • Invoicing email

  • Do you require a purchase order number on your invoice? (please email competitions@nswathletics.org.au)

Once the entries are closed you will receive an updated invoice.  

Athletes must hold one of the following:

  • Youth Membership 
  • Junior Membership 
  • Open Membership 
  • Concession Membership 

An elected team manager from each club will be required to collect the bib numbers for your club teams. Bib numbers will include the name of the club and not an athlete’s individual names. clubs will be responsible for distributing the bib to each athlete participating.

Upon collecting your bibs, clubs will be required to scratch any teams not participating. All entered teams will be considered confirmed (i.,e checked in) unless they are scratched. Scratching’s can occur up to 60 minutes prior to the event. Please ensure you keep track of your teams and scratch them when required.

This team manager may also be required to act on behalf of teams if there is an issue. For example, if a protest is to be made.

Please ensure:

  • Each athlete is ready with the club singlet at the gate to receive free entry. Athletes will be required to show their club uniform. 
  • Each athlete from your club is wearing a competition bib that will be provided to the team manager on the day.
  • All Field Event athletes are at their event at least 20 minutes before the scheduled start time so officials can confirm the athletes’ names.

The following age groups will be represented at the 2023 NSW Relay Championhsips

U10, U11, U12, U14, U16, U18, U20, Open, 120+, 160+, 200+, 240+

 

U10 – Athletes born in 2014 or later but must be a minimum age of 8 years as at 31st December 2023 to compete.

U11 - Athletes born in 2013 or later 

U12 - Athletes born in 2012 or later 

U14 – If an athlete is under the age of 14 as at 31st December 2023

U16 - If an athlete is under the age of 16 as at 31st December 2023

U18 - If an athlete is under the age of 18 as at 31st December 2023

U20- If an athlete is under the age of 20 as at 31st December 2023

Open – Open to all ages

120+ - Accumulation of all competitors must =120+ (avg. 30years)

160+ - Accumulation of all competitors must =160+ (avg. 40years)

200+- Accumulation of all competitors must =200+ (avg. 50years)

240+ - Accumulation of all competitors must =240+ (avg. 60years)
