In this vale from the Crawford family, they reflect on Ron Crawford’s significant contribution to the sport where as an athlete he wore the green and gold at the Olympics on three occasions, before spending over four decades in administration.

Five bound for Buenos Aires

Five bound for Buenos Aires

NSW has secured a strong representation in the Australian team selections for the 2018 Youth Olympic Games with five athletes named this week to the team.  The Games, for under-18 athletes, are held in Buenos Aires in October and are the third edition of the event first held in Singapore in 2010.

Successful Run Festival launch

Athletics NSW’s new recreational race, the Run Festival, had a successful launch yesterday as strong numbers competed at the Upjohn Park course in Rydalmere. As a scoring event for the various winter awards it witnessed some movement as we neared the event of the season.

Bankstown and Sydney University in record form on the streets

Bankstown and Sydney University have taken the honours in the Waratah Series Street Relays, held yesterday at Ourimbah on the Central Coast. The winning teams clocked two of the fastest ever times in the eight-years this course has hosted the NSW state road relays on its 68th edition of the championships.
