NSW All Schools day 3 review – Stewart treble

On day three of the 2018 2XU NSW All Schools Track and Field Championships the weather conditions turned bleak, as athletes battled strong head winds and cool temperatures. Despite this, eight athletes completed sprint doubles and Damita Betham (sprints) and Imogen Stewart (distance) went one better with three titles and two meet records each.

On day two of the 2018 2XU NSW All Schools Track and Field Championships the weather conditions were perfect for fast sprinting with tailwinds and warm weather, and the sprinter responded with personal bests galore and three meet records. Preview NSW All Schools Championships - boys events

Over the last few weeks the many leadup schools meets, CHS, CIS, GPS, CAS, CCC etc, have build-up anticipation of a tremendous 2018 2XU NSW All Schools championships. On Thursday the four-day competition gets down to business as 2000 athletes in 300 events in ages from 12 to 19 years compete for the honour of being crowned NSW schools champion for 2018 and press their selection claims for the national schools in December in Cairns.

David Tarbotton has scoured the lead up meets for some emerging and in-form athletes we will witness in action at the NSW All Schools later this week.
