  • Followed in the ensuing weeks with three Treloar Shields,
  • The NSW Relay Championships,
  • The 3000m Championships,

CEO Message - September 2017

Welcome to the Athletics New South Wales 2017/18 Summer Season!

To begin with, I would like to report on the election of a Chair of Athletics NSW.  At its September meeting, the Directors elected Dr Peter Higgins as the new Chair, replacing Brian White who has stepped down from the Board after five years of service as a Director.  Regular competitors will know Peter from his role as one of the senior officials in our sport, a commitment that has seen Peter appointed to the officiating team at the upcoming Commonwealth Games.

With Australia building a name for themselves in the sprinting world, up and coming star Luke Trevillian has the talent to get amongst the action both at the upcoming New South Wales All Schools and beyond. Luke is currently in year 10 at school and boasts an incredible 100m PB of 10.91 seconds and 200m PB of 22.11 seconds. With times like these behind him, who knows how far this young star will go in the 2017-2018 season.

43 NSW Officials honoured with Commonwealth Games appointment

Next April dozens of NSW athletes will proudly represent Australia at the Gold Coast Commonwealth Games. Standing alongside them, just as proud, will be many volunteer NSW technical officials, that have given as much time and commitment to preparing for the Games as the athletes.
