Casino RSM Fun Run

On Sunday 28 September, Athletics NSW hosted the inaugural Casino RSM Fun Run with help from Casino Little Athletics Club and many local volunteers. The feature 10km event was taken out by local athlete James Dowling in 39:53. A further 70 runners completed the 10km course which featured a lap of the picturesque main street of Casino - Walker Street.

Delaney and Heiner selected for Chiba

Delaney and Heiner selected for Chiba

NSW international distance runners, Madeline Heiner (Kembla Joggers) and Bridey Delaney (St George) have been named in the Australian team for the 2014 Chiba Ekiden to be held on November 24. The teams race, conducted over the marathon distance, is held in Chiba city, Japanese city located near Tokyo. For the NSW athletes it is the second national team in 2014, following selection by Heiner in the Commonwealth Games team and Delaney in the inaugural World Relays.

Australian University Games Preview

Australian University Games Preview

Commencing today, Sydney is hosting one of the largest sporting events in Australia, the week-long Australian University Games. The multi-sport competition this year will see over 8000 participants from in excess of 40 tertiary institutions in 32 sports compete across Sydney in venues from the Sydney International Regatta Centre to St George Sailing club and Woollahra Oval Rose Bay. Sydney Olympic Park will host many sports including: athletics, swimming, futsal, handball, hockey, taekwondo, tennis and water polo.
