Officials Profile: David and Katrina Morrow

Two of Australia’s finest high jumpers are now on the other side of the high jump bar – as officials. Katrina and David Morrow have reached the highest levels in our sport, Katrina winning gold at the Commonwealth Games and David a national champion. But after raising a family, they have jumped back into the sport as technical officials, while still maintaining coaching roles in the school environment. At the recent Athletics NSW awards dinner David was named the new official of the year.

NSW athlete's share their Oceania championship experience

Oceania Junior and Senior Area championships were recently held in the Cook Islands and NSW were lucky enough to have 21 athletes selected in the Australian team chosen to compete in Rarotonga.

We asked NSW athletes Allie Bartholomew and John Crandell to fill us in on their first international experience.

World Junior interview: Jasmine Dighton

In the ‘90s four NSW girls, Jane and Natalie Saville, Cheryl Webb and Linda Coffee dominated race walking nationally. On seven occasions they competed at the World Junior Championships. However not since 2002 has NSW placed a female race walker on a World Juniors team, until this year when Jasmine Dighton won selection.
