Bankstown club claim winter honours

For the fifth consecutive year, Bankstown club have claimed the Athletics NSW Winter Club Trophy. The award, which recognises the leading winter club across cross country and road running, was dominated by Bankstown. They were the highest scoring club in all but one of the eight events. They scored 1980 points, finishing ahead of Kembla Joggers on 1585 points and Sydney Striders with 1505 points.

IPC World Championships launched today in Doha

This evening in Doha, the 10 day IPC 2015 World Championships get under way. The competition is the most important in two years for our leading para athletes and will be a good guide for the Paralympics, now less that a year away. Angie Ballard is competing in her sixth championships, only missing the inaugural meet in 1994.
