NSW have selected a competitive team for the Australian marathon championships to be held this Sunday in conjunction with the Gold Coast Airport Marathon. It is the 60th men’s and 35th women’s championship. The men’s race was first held in 1909 in Sydney, but it would not be until 1927 that the second race was conducted.
