Australian All Schools Preview

If lead up form is any good indicator, NSW are set for a bumper Australian All Schools Championships, commencing in Townsville tomorrow (Friday). The 41st Australian All Schools, will for the first occasion, the championships are held outside of a capital city. Just like the inaugural Australian Schools championships in 1951, where NSW athletes Betty Cuthbert, future world record holder Denis Wilson, and 1956 Olympian John Cann all emerged, the 2013 carnival will showcase a lineup of future NSW and Australian track and field talent.

The Treloar Shield last Saturday was highlighted by three world junior qualifying performances and a series of quality field event performances including a NSW record as many athletes took the last opportunity to compete ahead of the Australian All Schools Championships in Townsville next weekend
