Blundell returns to take NSW title

On Saturday the NSW XC Challenge, which incorporated the 122nd NSW Cross Country Championships, was held in perfect conditions on the Willandra course in Nowra. After three years of injury, Rio Olympic 1500m semi-finalists, Jenny Blundell (SYU) confirmed she is back on track with a strong win over the unfamiliar distance of 10km cross country. The men’s title was only decided over the last kilometre, with Ed Goddard (UTN) winning his third state title, ahead of Canberra-based former local Jye Edwards (BAN) who was himself returning for a few years of injury.

NSW athletes have claimed an outstanding four medals at the 2019 National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) track and field championships held in Texas over the last four days.
