Angela Haynes elected to the Athletics NSW board

Last Wednesday evening the 127th Annual General Meeting of Athletics NSW was held at Sydney Olympic Park Athletics Centre.

The evening included the election of new board members. Re-elected were Sean Scanlon, Peter Higgins and Brian White, while newly elected was Angela Haynes. Unsuccessful in the election was Stuart Paterson and former Athletics NSW employee, Gareth Watkins. The chairman thanked Paterson, for his six years service to Athletics NSW as a board member. Patterson, a former NSW distance running state champion and now masters athlete, is sure to remain involved in the sport in various arenas.

The newly elected board member, Angela Haynes, who currently is employed with PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), brings various skills and experience to the board, including; board experience with the NSW Veterinary Practitioners Board, experience with design and implementation of performance improvement and business refresh strategy, community sports club experience and is currently a member of Woodstock runners.
