Newcastle Athletic Field Series + Athletics NSW Winter Track & Field Series

This Winter Track & Field meet will be part of a series co-hosted by the Athletics Clubs of the Fearnley Dawes Athletics Track, and Athletics NSW.
All ages and abilities are welcome. The dates and likely events for each of the series are listed below. Entry will be online before the meet or on the day. 


Date: Friday 20th July 

Ages: U/9 - Masters 

Time: Starts 6:00pm and concludes by 9:00pm

Cost: ​$5 for up to 5 events.

Timetable

6:00pm 800m | Javelin | Long Jump

6:20pm 80m/90m/100m/110m Hurdles

6:40pm 60m

7:00pm 400m | Discus | Triple Jump

7:45pm 3000m

Rules: The competition shall be run to IAAF rules. 1 false start rule shall apply to U/14 running events. All throwers must use the correct throwing implement for their age. Spikes worn must be max of 5mm in length. Athletes shall be seeded according to ability. U/14 athletes shall be run as a separate division for races up to 400m. 

Timing: Photo finish shall be in use. 

Check in: Athletes need to check in no later than 45min before the scheduled event start time. This includes athletes who have an online entry. 

Numbers: Athletes should wear their 2018 season numbers if they have them. Temporary numbers shall be issued to those without numbers.  

Canteen: A canteen and BBQ will be operating through the night. Please bring some spare change!
