Australian All Schools Track & Field Championships

Athletics Australia has made a number of significant changes to the national competition structure for athletes aged 13-19 years, for the 2010/2011 season. These changes provide a clear and more defined pathway for athletes, improve quality and quantity of competition and facilitate the transition of athletes from schools and Little Athletics through to Senior Athletics clubs.

In 2010, the focus of the Australian All Schools will shift from an individual to team based competition. Both Athletics Australia and Athletics NSW are of the strong opinion that team based competition is essential within this age bracket, and as such, the Australian All Schools has been modified for this purpose. The most significant change is a restriction on the number of athletes permitted to compete, with each state permitted an overall team size of no more than 220 athletes.
