MEN'S 65-69 and 70-74 AGE GROUPS

Due to a change by the World Masters Association earlier this weekend, the 65-74 Men's age group has been divided into two different age groups - 65-69 and 70-74 - based on the different distances that will be completed by each age group.

The 70-74 Men's age group will be running the 6km distance, and will by vying for medals for the team and individual championships based on this event. Additionally, this age group will also be offered the originally-offered 8km distance, and this will feature an individual championship only for this distance.

The 65-69 Men's age group will be running the 8km distance as previously stated in the timetable.

As per usual, any athlete in the 70-74 age group will be able to "age down" to the 65-69 age group for team point scoring purposes, while retaining their individual status in the 70-74 age group (as per Rule 1.4.6 of the 2018 NSW Winter Handbook), and therefore being eligible to win an individual championship medal in the 8km 70-74 age division.
