The 2017 Twilight Track Series will feature four high performance meets designed to provide athletes with the best possible competition opportunities in the lead up to the Australian Track and Field Championships. Presented by ANSW and supported by the Bankstown Sports Athletics Club (BSAC), the series will include:
1. Hunter Track Classic (28 January - Glendale);
2. Sydney Invitational (4 February - SOPAC);
3. Sydney Classic (25 February - SOPAC, incorporating NSW Championships);
4. Bankstown Invitational (18 March - The Crest).
The exciting series will have an emphasis on high quality fields and meet presentation for an enhanced athlete and spectator experience.
The events to be scheduled for the Twilight Track Series has been developed in consultation with leading coaches and athletes. You can click here to view the event grid. Accordingly, the schedule of events will be released in due course. The meets will be held in the late afternoon/evening.
How to Enter
Athletes must nominate to participate in the Hunter Track Classic, Sydney Invitational and Bankstown Invitational. Nominations will open once the event schedule is finalised. The 2017 Sydney Classic has changed from the previously held Sydney Track Classic. The Sydney Classic will feature NSW Open Championship events on the Saturday evening. Normal event entry applies to this competition.
