event overview

Sydney Olympic Park Athletic Centre is set to host the inaugural Australian Junior Athletics Championships Championships for able-bodied and para-athletes from 14 - 18 March, 2018.

Australia's 'next generation' or track and field talent will be on full display in Sydney as more than 2000 junior athletes descend to compete at the famous Sydney Olympic Park Athletics track.

If you believe you have qualified for the 2018 Australian Athletics Championships, we encourage you to nominate for the New South Wales team.

There is no cost to nominate, and it will only take you a few minutes. Nominations close Sunday 11th February (final day of NSW Junior Championships).

Athletics NSW will notify athletes of their successful nomination on a weekly basis, commencing the week of 1 January 2018. A team list will be updated on this page weekly. If you have received notification that your nomination has been successful but your name does not appear on the team list, you will need to contact the ANSW office.

A final list of successful nominees will be published here on Friday 16th February 2018, following the close of nominations.

Please be advised that athletes will not have their position on the New South Wales team officially confirmed until they have met the eligibility criteria, and team registration and payment has been completed.

Athletes who's nominations are approved for the NSW team to compete at the 2018 Australian Junior Athletics Championships in Sydney will need to complete their online registration and pay the team levy. All approved nominations will be posted on the Athletics NSW webpage under the 'Teams' tab on Friday 16th February 2018, and will be sent a link to complete registration via email. Only athletes who appear on the approved nominees list may register.

Athletes are not confirmed members of the team until they have completed their registration.

The team levy for this event includes the following:
